Sponsorship

Interested in becoming a sponsor? AWESOME!!

After reading the general information below, please email me at polly.helping.little.hands(at)gmail(dot)com for my full sponsorship agreement which includes a few more details. In all cases, I reserve the right to extend sponsorship only to sponsors that fit the scope of my blog.

Standard Sponsorship

1-Month Contract - $10 a month for a 100x100 pixel button in my sidebar

3-Month Contract - $25 includes:
  • 100x100 pixel button in my sidebar
  • Introductory Post written by me introducing you as a new sponsor
  • Opportunity to do a guest post (written by you) and/or a giveaway sometime during your 3 month contract period.
Premium Sponsorship

I believe the most effective advertising comes from word of mouth (or word of blogger). Most of the products I’ve bought online were because I saw or heard someone who’s opinion I value use a product and tell what they loved about it. I wish I could offer this level of sponsorship to everyone…but since my blog primarily contains my own ideas, tutorials, and random bits about my life, I can actively promote only a limited number of businesses while staying true to the original scope of my blog. I want my blog content to be driven my own interests and ideas, and not just by my sponsors. Therefore, not only do I choose only exemplary shops for premium sponsorship, they must offer products that I am truly excited about, and have fairly immediate plans to actually use. Therefore, Premium Sponsorship is limited.  If I’m not able to extend premium sponsorship to you, that doesn’t mean I don’t love your products…just that I wouldn’t be able to immediately use them in my home, and I’d love to have you as a standard sponsor. Also, I may be able to offer you premium sponsorship in the future as a plan for new projects and themes or have more space come available.

Rates for premium sponsorship are similar to those of standard sponsorship, but the payment generally involves the trade of goods and/or services, so I can personally recommend them to my readers. Generally Premium Sponsorship includes:
  • Larger Button – 225 pixels wide
  • Button location above that of standard sponsors
  • Introductory Post introducing you as a new sponsor
  • Post with a review of your product. Depending on the type of product, this may include a tutorial showing something I have made using your product.
  • Periodic product placement in "Show my Sponsors some Love" section that appears at the bottom of posts.  I try to match these products to the topic in the post when possible, so frequency of including your products may vary depending on the type of project being posted.
  • Opportunity for you to write a guest post (tutorial, recipe, tip, etc) and/or a giveaway

Sponsor a Quilt – For Fabric Shops

(Note: Standard and Premium Sponsorship is also available to fabric shops.)

I am beginning a project to regularly make quilts that are donated to charitable organizations that provide quilts to children who are sick or in crisis.  (Cozy Comforts ofSouth Grant County and Katie's Comforters Quild, and occasionally other local fundraising for those in need)  I would love to highlight cute fabric from your shop by making a quilt for donation.  Once finished, I will take pictures of the process and share tips and/or templates for others to be able to make a similar quilt.  I specialize in making fun children's quilts that fun, modern, and do-able so that a beginning quilter should be able to replicate them.   (You can browse my quilting here.)  All fabrics sent will be agreed upon between us before you ship them to make sure they will be used in a quilt we are both excited about.  Fabric scraps left over from sponsored quilts may be used for other uses.

For each $30 of fabric you send from your shop, you will get 3 months as a Premium Sponsor which includes:
  • 3 Months Sponsorship
  • Larger Button – 225 pixels wide
  • Button location above that of standard sponsors
  • Introductory Post introducing you as a new sponsor, and showing the fabric you have sent (see sample post here)
  • A post with finished pictures and tutorial, tips, and/or template so others can recreate the quilt.  You may use this as a guest post on your own blog if you choose.  If used as a guest post, I will post it to my own blog not less than 2 weeks later.
  • Periodic product placement in "Show my Sponsors some Love" section that appears at the bottom of posts.  I try to match these products to the topic in the post when possible, so frequency of including your products may vary depending on the type of project being posted.
  • Opportunity for you to host a giveaway and/or offer my readers a discount code if you choose.
  • In the event that it takes me longer than 3 months to get the project using your fabric, you will get to keep premium sponsorship until your project has been completed and posted.
This is a great deal for your advertising dollar.  However, if you would like to donate less than $30 of fabric, standard sponsorship rates will apply, and the project will only be posted to my own blog.

Blog Disclosure Statement:

Helpinig Little Hands is a personal blog written and edited by me, Polly Carlson. It’s sole purpose over the last year and a half as been to offers free tutorials and tips for crafts, cooking, homemaking, mothering, and pre-schooling. I do have a small shop which I occasionally mention on my blog which makes very little money and is more of a hobby. I have recently begun to accept sponsorship in the form of cash or products in exchange for advertising space in the form of buttons in my sidebar, introductory posts, and posts highlighting how I have used a sponsors’ products.

Helping Little Hands abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The opinions I share are my own and will not be influenced by any compensation received. I will not pretend to love something if I would not buy it. That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content. I debated for quite a while about whether or not to have sponsors, and ultimately decided to go accept paid sponsors as a service to women (and men) out there who need help getting word out about their shops and products. The fee for advertising is really for my time maintaining the site and time spent writing the posts…I am not paid for my opinion or the content in them.

I am not compensated to provide opinions on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. If we claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic or product or service area, we will only endorse products or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.
